A 1 kg shipment follows the applicable FedEx document or parcel slab for the selected destination. The final billed weight is normally the higher of actual and volumetric weight, so final carton dimensions are required.

Chargeable weight is generally based on the higher of actual scale weight and dimensional or volumetric weight. FedEx determines dimensional weight from the packed dimensions using the divisor applicable to the confirmed service.
